• As the structure of the workforce and skill requirements continue to change in our economy it is certain that many jobs will require the GED credential.
  
  
• To earn a GED, learners are required to pass five individual tests on the following topics: Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, and Science.
  
  Passing these five knowledge-based components certifies that an individual has developed the necessary problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to continue onto higher education or to obtain employment in a position that requires this level of educational attainment in today's economy.
